Surprise praise - passport renewal

Monday morning I filled in my details on the .gov site to renew my passport - taking all of 3 minutes, including payment. Printed and signed it and got some photos done. Took it to the Post Office just after lunch and paid for guaranteed delivery. Text message Thursday morning to say that my passport should be with me in a few working days. New passport through the letterbox this morning! Very impressed with the ease of the form filling and, particularly, the speed of the service.
I thought booking a holiday was off the cards with an expired passport, but hopefully I will be able to book somewhere this weekend. Very happy
