I Can't be identified :-(

Good Afternoon All,

I've turned to this website as I'm starting to get fustrated with online credit reference agencies.

All I'm trying to do is sign up to a website that will give me a credit score to find out why I can't get credit.

I've tired Noodle / Experian/ call credit. Everyone I have checked can't seem to identify me, i have entered all my details into the sites including mg bank details but I keep getting the same response.

"SORRY WE CAN'T IDENTIFY YOUR DETAILS"

All my details have stayed the same for the last 26 years same bank account and same address. My bank is registered there so is my car and insurance.

Can someone please shed some light on why I can't be found, it's really starting to get to me now.

Yes I'm on the electoral role, and no I don't have any debt at all. I can't get anything to get in debt with, I couldn't even get a mobile on contract my partner had to this for me.

Do you live in an apartment block?

They couldn't identify me due to variation of the address on the electoral roll to the one that is actually correct.

No I live in a 3 bed house and have done for 26 years. It's really confusing me, i just can't understand why I can't be found.

Are you married? Could it be your details are under your maiden name?

Have you tried calling the CRA's to see what they need to do to verify you?

Hi no I have never been married, I did contact noodle a while back and asked why I couldn't be found and how it can be fixed and they sent the below.:

If you want to check the information tha!t Callcredit holds on you (the Noddle cr!edit report is provided by Callcredit Lt!d.)

If you decide to apply for your statutor!y report I'd recommend that you request !it by post as, for the same reasons we'v!e been unable to provide a report, it's !unlikely you'll be able to view your sta!tutory report online either.

If you have held the same bank account for 26 years, it's possible the bank is not reporting your details to credit reference agencies.

You can contact the bank and ask them to do this in the future, known as 'opting in.'

If you've held the same bank account for 26 years, chances are it probably won't be reporting back to the CRA's as it is so old (I think they only changed it about 10-15 years ago so it was compulsory to report back info but older accounts it probably doesn't apply to) and that could be why Noddle etc can't match up your data.

Just apply for your credit file from all 3 agencies via the post. Not ideal for the timebeing, but at least you'll have copies and can see what info is held.

I just signed up for noddle and i was identified and i am not on the electoral roll yet, i just had to answer some questions about myself and provide my credit card which probably helped them identify me.

Bank accounts opened pre 1992 are hard to verify.
