Moving house and Virgin Media

I'm due to move house soon and due to the recent price increase I can cancel my current VM contract without penalty.

In the new property I would have ideally liked to swap my package to a combination of VM Broadband and telephone and go back to sky for the TV (Really think VM TV including the TIVO boxes are poor compared to SKY and their boxes). However given I want the full sport package including BT sports this works much dearer than getting everything from VM. Therefore going to stick begrudgingly with them.

Anyway after all the above waffle I was wondering if I would be classed as a new customer if I cancelled current package and then bought a new one for the new property as they have got some good introductory offers on at present.

If I can would I be able to somehow port my email address and current phone number to the new property?

Any expert knowledge gratefully received.
