Lush shampoo bars

  • I've tried Lullaby, Brazilliant, Jason of The Argan Oil, Copperhead and Karma Komba. I'm not really happy with any of them, I didn't see a huge difference in my hair which disappointed me cos I was (and still am) falling out of love with shampoo as they were all doing bad things to my hair.

The tins are available online if anyone wants one . They're in the section with the shampoo bars.

I have used the Honey I Shrunk The Kids solid shampoo for a few years now. I never take liquid shampoo on holiday any more. To lather, rub the bar over your wet head and start to massage. The bar can get a bit gooey but dries out if left to 'air off' properly.

I have their seanik one that I keep solely for holiday use and keep in their silver tin. It works fine on my dryish short hair.
I had some samples of their solid conditioners, again to take on holiday , but wouldn't use them on a permanent basis as they did not distribute well throughout my short hair. oh well saved on weight in my luggage.
  • I tried the blue speckly sea one a while ago, and I hated the way it made my long straight hair go all dull, straw-like and unmanageable.

Wouldn't recommend these unless you either have very short hair, or a hair type that doesn't normally go nice and sleek and shiny with liquid shampoo anyway.

As I said, I don't use the Lush ones but handmade ones from ebay. I've got long (a couple of inches past my shoulder blades), greasy hair and with one exception they've always worked well on my hair. I actually find them easier than liquid shampoo because you just have to run them over your hair to get a lather (I've got problems with my hands, probably some form of arthritis).
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • I absolutely love Seanik as it leaves my waist-length hair lovely and bouncy, and I quite like Jason and the Argan Oil pureply for the lovely rosy smell :)

DS1 & I swear by their soak and float for our greasy and dandruffy hair (lovely!) - I'm fed up at the moment as DS1 left the small part of the bar we had left on the side of the bath the other day and it had all disintegrated by the time I found it. So I'm using body shop ginger shampoo which is fine for the dandruff but I can't leave it so long between washes.
