I've just seen that I have a direct debit set up on my current account going out to Prudential that has the payee description as Prudential Int PI followed by a 15 digit numerical code.

Does anyone know what this is please? I thought it was a mortgage payment (endowment) but from the 1st March the DD jumped from £240 to £310.

I've just spoken to the Halifax (my current account) who very very nice but couldn't help in the slightest.

Don't buy cheap things, buy things cheap.

The Int would suggest it is Pru International. The offshore division.

They should be able to help as they would have the dates when the mandate was set up. Plus, you have the right under the guarantee scheme to get a refund.

Endowments are fixed premiums (apart from low start but they are only in the first 5-10 years and no endowments have been on sale for 11 years. So, it wont be one of those).

How long has this DD been going out?

When did you first notice it?
