Pre march out of Married quarters

My daughter has someone coming round next week to inspect the quarters. What exactly happens & what do they expect? She is getting worried/confused about what she has been told by various people, mostly friends.
I will be present, but would like any info about this before they turn up. Who is responsible for any cost's ie replacement or redecoration, my daughter or her husband. Cheers for any replies.

A pre-march out is an informal visit where the representative from DHE informs the licencee (tenant) as to what work is required prior to handing over the keys. The licencee is then given the option of doing the work themselves, or using an approved cleaning service.
As for responsibility for repairs, they generally lie with the licencee (the service person). If there has been an official separation and the service person no longer lives there but the spouse has been living in the MQ as an "illegal occupant", then the costs fall to the spouse.0 -

Tell her not to worry at all. It is a very relaxed thing nowadays, not like when the military used to do it.
They will inspect the house and advise her on what she does and doesnt need to do before she 'marches out', ie they will say that the lawn needs cutting, cooker needs to be cleaned etc.
Depending how long she has lived there, age of carpets, when it was last decorated will determine what needs doing.
Also it gives them an idea on how quickly someone can move in once she has left, so they can allocate it as early as possible.
Really, there is nothing to worry about.Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Save up for that rainy day[/STRIKE].
Start enjoying a stress debt free life.....now enjoying. thanks to all on MSE0 -
Was your daughter offered an official cleaner? this (although expensive) will guarantee march out standard, to the point that she wouldn't have to worry about cleaning it.
Other cleaners will offer a march out service and will then correct anything that is picked up on March out.
Im lucky I have a dirty march out of my quater! place wasn't up to standard when I marched in. But that is an rarity!Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.
