tuition fees

Hi my son is off to university in september. whilst he was in his final year at college his tutor told him that if he achieved a triple distinction in his course the government pays his first year of tuition fees.

we cannot find a way to confirm whether this is true or not but obviously with fees at £3,070 this is significant.

does anyone know if this is true and if it is who do we apply to?

thanks

Is this in a particular subject, or a particular college?

Also, what type of course was he studying? I am assuming not A Levels?
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Sounds like a scholarship award from the uni/college he will be going to. He'll need to contact them for information.
