Logged out and back in again.....same

It is a security precaution. I have had it before when moving large amounts as well as doing several transactions. They are good on the phone, call answer a few security questions and tell them it was you doing the transactions and they'll unblock.0

It was only for £15 though!0

I had the same problem. Ended up phoning Tesco up and it was all sorted in about 10 minutes or so.
Some kind of error on there end - I wasn't told what exactly (didn't ask to be fair) but other people on the internet seem to think its to do with signature forms not been processed properly.
After that was done I've had no problems.0 -
signature forms? created the account online and never been asked to complete one of these ......
Anyway sorted now....it is a relatively new account.....at first adviser couldnt see any problems....he got a manager to look and apparently 'blocks are automatically placed on new accounts.....' !!!
What!!
Never encountered this before .....didnt query it just happy to have it sorted.0 -
They sent a couple of signature forms (one for each account) through the post I seem to recall - they needed to be signed before the account would be accepted as valid.
Either way it doesn't really matter as the account is now working!0 -

They do block new accounts (not allow you to withdraw) until they have 'verified ID' by way of a signature form. As soon as they receive this it should be unblocked.0 -
Well, as I said, they unblocked it over the phone without 'verified ID' - just answered a couple of usual security questions...... anyway all OK now ....thanks all.....
EDIT: reading back I realise I didnt explicitly say that they unblocked it - but they did!0 -

They closed my first Tesco savings account because I didn't return the forms.
I was out of the country for an extended period when they arrived.0
