Have a Samsung laptop ( win 7 home ), is well above the min spec.
have not received the Windows 10 update icon is taskbar.
Downloaded the MS tool to do the update .
Launch the tool, go's through a few steps , then i get "we can't tell if your pc is ready to continue installing windows 10"
Not sure what to do next , many thanks

well it don,t like your laptop , maybe that's why they did not offer the update
have you tried googling "Samsung XXX , win 10 " , or checked samsungs website to see if they have made comments or indeed released drivers?
"min spec" , but what about "compatibility"0 -
I would wait a couple of weeks, if you really want to go from 7 to 10 why didn't you go through the preview program ?0

You could go through the hoops to get the "reserve windows 10" app even though that's redundant now, might kick the process off...

Have you been installing Windows Updates? KB 3035583
Either way you can use this tool to create media for install.
Make sure that you have created the Recovery Discs for your laptop and backed up all of your important data.0 -
May because:
Windows Update is turned off or is not set to received updates automatically.
You’ve blocked or uninstalled the necessary Windows Update functionality.
Your device is not running genuine Windows.
