Euro car park fine passed on to drp

Options
Hi,
Sorry I'm completely new to all this but just looking for some advice.
I've been sent a parking ticket for 'overstaying' in a morrisons car park past the allotted 2hr limit on 26th May 2015.
To cut a long story short the ticket has been passed to a debt collection agency (debt recovery plus ltd) and they are asking for £145 because I've failed to respond to their correspondence on the matter. I've recently moved house so my car log book was in the address of my old house. They have been given my new details via 'a tracing service' apparently, I have updated my registered keeper details with the dvla now but this was only last week.
I know a lot of people have argued their way out of these fines and I'm hoping someone could help me argue that the amount they are requesting is disproportionate to the parking.
There is a 2 hour limit and this is signposted so I can't see me arguing against that, but there are parking meters which have been covered up so you are unable to pay for any additional time.
I'm really not sure as what to do as I have a rubbish credit file as it is and really really do not want any ccjs being added to it. I also don't have the details of the people who initially sent the fine as the first correspondence I have received is from debt recovery limited.
Help??
Debbie

I see you keep using the F word above ^^^^^^^^^^^^

its actually a speculative invoice , as in an I word , not an F word ;)

I dont think you have read the NEWBIES sticky thread either , so read it , especially post #4 , and ignore DRP , they can do NOTHING , NOTHING at all !!

you dont need to argue this with DRP, you only have to IGNORE them

even if this went to court and you lost, there would be NO ccj as long as you pay the judgment issued by the judge

so you pay up within 28 days and there is no CCJ

you need to learn more about this topic, so read up on these things before making incorrect assumptions please

the NEWBIES thread tells you everything you need to learn, for free , its up to date and the best advice you can get, you wont even get better advice if you paid a legal beagle for it ;)

    so no more F words

and complain to Morrissons, to Ben Kargans at head office , or the CEO David Potts, get the INVOICE cancelled asap
