Evans store card

Hi there
I hope someone can help...
My wife had an Evans storecard in about 2000-2007ish and she wants to claim back PPI. The account was with (She thinks) GE Capital Bank. After some digging online it seemd to suggest that Santander are now responsible for dealing with GE Capital Bank affairs, however Santander have just written back denying that it's anything to do with thm.
Have we got it wrong or ar Santander trying it on?
Hope someone can point us in the right direction
Thanks

GE Money weren't regulated when it was sold to her, and Santander will reject any complaint. The next thing to do is to complain to GE Money and hope they take responsibility but as they weren't regulated, they can dismiss your complaint. You won't know till you try.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Thanks, We'll go straight to the horses mouth so to speak
Thanks again0 -
I had a Monsoon store card which was the same provider - GE Money . I submitted a PPI claim in 2010 , and after much correspondence ( I had to provide National Insurance details to prove I was not employed ) the claim was rejected . In April this year Santander contacted me to say they were reviewing my claim and , luckily , I had kept copies of the documentation I originally sent them .
My claim was upheld and this week I received a payment of £2158
I would like to say , if you think you have a good case then Santander will listen , and the thank everyone for their help on these boards0 -
Sorry - meant to say I submitted the claim to Santander0
