parking charge / debt collection

I moved into my new place a few months ago. It's a private apartment complex. The parking is not numbered or allocated. So some residents have to park on the street.
As the car park was full, I parked in the single disabled bit near my flat in order to carry a heavy fridge up 2 flights of stairs. I know, my fault.
So the wardens in the complex ticketed my car (which gas now been written off).
So I've received a 3rd letter from 'debt recovery plus' with the IPC and BPA stamps on the bottom asking I pay £160 by next month or they'll 'pass your file to the creditor with a recommendation to commence court action'.
When I checked this guide a few years ago, I'm sure the general gist was to ignore these as they'll not take it further. Indeed I've had tthis situation twice and nothing came of it.
The advice here has changed to write a letter etc and not ignore it?
I can't really be bothered with letter writing anymore so if I ignore it are they likely to take me to court? And with I just pay the £160 then plus costs?
Not sure what to do now with the seemingly different advice.

As a regular contributor to the MSE forum, you will be aware of sticky threads.
We have one here for Newbies. Suggest you read it and then come back with what you plan to do and we can help, but we need you to be up to speed.0 -
Disabled bays are provided by law for people with disabilities. I hope you won't abuse one again.
The advice on how to deal with private parking tickets changed in 2012, before you joined MSE.
The advice for as long as you have been a member has been, do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, appeal as keeper, and ignore debt collectors' bog paper.
You can beat this relatively easily by reading the Sticky thread for NEWBIES as already advised, and act accordingly. All the information you need is there including a template appeal written by an expert on the subject.
People here will help you but you have to put in some effort yourself. Surely reading, copying and pasting, and submitting a few paragraphs can't be as hard as lugging a fridge around can it?I married my cousin. Depends who you mean by 'they'. The debt collectors can't, the PPC can!
Who is the PPC?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks. But you don't need to be a member to read the guides. I've been here nearly a decade. Don't assume.
I didn't say lugging a fridge around was harder than writing a letter either? I simply did not know the rule change.
The tone of your post is rude, condescending and patronising, son. Pipe down and smile, life's not all bad.0 -
and if you want help , how about naming the PPC , with that info we can advise a suitable plan of action.
I would however suggest that you DO read up on the rule changes that came in , in late 2012 , as they made a lot of difference,
anyways , the PPC s name please0 -

You may have been here for nearly a decade but you didn't re-read the guidelines since you became a member otherwise you would not have asked about ignoring a PCN, and you wouldn't have mentioned debt collectors. You asked for confirmation that the advice had changed and I gave it to you.
You also said you couldn't be bothered with letter writing. I merely pointed out the irony of that when compared to the amount of effort required for you to carry a fridge up two flights of steps.
The information I gave you should enable you to beat this scam, but I'm sorry you did not like the way the information was delivered. Which do you think is more important?I married my cousin.
