my daughter thinks she was mis sold a PPI by lloyds on her credit card. She is going down the route of making a claim but has now recieved a letter stating that "after checking our records I can confirm we have been unable to establish that you were charged PPI with the account which you quoted in your complaint. In order for us to continue with our investigation will require evidence to show you were charged PPI on you credit card account, this could be a credit card statement. Please contact our Copy Statement Unit, who will be able to provide the information should you still require it"
My daughter has asked me to do a letter for her and I found the SAR letter and have typed it up but thought perhaps someone will advise me before giving it to my daughter whether it is worth her pursuing this or if there is a better letter to use.
She has moved several times so I doubt she will have old statements

Do you have the credit card account number? My complaint with with Lloyds too and although I do have statements that show the PPI I didn't send these with my original complaint, I just put my credit card reference number on the complaint form and the reasons I was complaining. If you have that they should be able to see at a glance if she paid it or not.
If she has sent the card account number then it looks like she hadn't signed up to PPI (I think but someone more knowledgeable will no doubt advise shortly

Yes the account number was quoted in the letter they have written to her. I don't want her to go through all the hoops if she is barking up the wrong tree0 -
If someone can please advise me before I give my daughter the letter tomorrow that will be brilliant. Would she still have a PPI on her credit card. She has had the card for ten years.0

Is this a current credit card that she still uses and gets statements for?0

If she has PPI it will be itemised separately on every single statement where there is a balance outstanding. If it isn't there then she hasn't been paying it. Why does she think she has PPI?0

Also you only pay PPI if you leave a balance on the card. If paid off in full each month, no PPI is charged.0
