Hi,
I'm very confused about my credit score. So last year I checked it on Experian and it was well over 900. Since then I have cleared a £20000 loan and also a credit card with HSBC that had 0 balance. I have taken a pay cut at work as I went part time to have my baby so don't know if this is the reason. I just checked on noddle and its 587?
I wanted to try and get a 0% balance transfer to pay off my remaining credit card balances sooner but can't get one I'm assuming because of my poor credit score.
Surely the fact I have less debt should have helped my score not trashed it?
The only other reason I can think of is that my partner recently got added to my Barclays current account and he has a CCJ. Can that affect my score?
I'm so annoyed as I was trying so hard to clear my debts and now I can't get any help whatsoever to clear the rest. Plus we wanted to apply for a mortgage next year 😭 is there anything I can do to bring my score back up?
