New build NHBC Certificate completion date

House is nearly finished and barratts have gave me a habitation/nhbc inspection date of 21st august.
Help to buy scotland
How quickly after the certificate is issued can I expect to move in.
They are saying 28 days. Not happy seems a lot to me?

That seems a very long time. On my newbuild last year, we got the keys the day after the NHBC signed off on it. The NHBC has to send some paperwork to your sols after the inspection before they are able to complete. If the inspection is done in the morning, your sols should have the paperwork from the NHBC in the mail the next day.0
