Selling without an agent

Can anyone help, we have decided to sell our house and Persue another , I knew of a lady who really wanted my house but we beet her to it , I have approached and she still definatly wants it , she said she will get in touch with her solicitor and put in a formal offer . I guess if I had an agent she would do it via them so this is the bit I'm confused about , how will this work ?

We are buying privately. The vendor asked three estate agents to value the house and then told us the price they had decided on which we accepted. I guess at this point we could have negotiated the price but we were happy with the price given. We then both appointed solicitors and they are handling the sale.Determined to save and not squander!

You don't need an agent if you are happy with price. I've bought and sold many times and once offer has been accepted I rarely even talk to the estate agent. You can use them as a go-between but I prefer to use my solicitor.0
