Hi,
I've spent several hours reading lots of different threads and, of course, the ones that say 'DO NOT START NEW THREADS ABOUT.....', so I hope I haven't started a new thread unnecessarily.
OK, I parked in Sennen Cove Harbour car park. Paid for two hours but was a little late getting back to the car. A ticket was stuck on the windscreen 18 minutes after mine expired.
As you probably know, they call the ticket a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) in an attempt to beguile you into thinking it's a Penalty Charge Notice. £100!!!!!!!!!!! Reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. They are a member of the IPC, which after looking at, are no more than a formalised face for these firms.
Anyway, I haven't appealed, yet, and wondered what the likelihood of winning an appeal would be in my circumstances.
Would really appreciate some advice as my wife reckons I should just pay it and be done with it. I can't tell you what a joy that conversation was!!
Thanks in advance

About one in five, but that is good, if your appeal is refused they will send you a get out of jail card. Their decision will be so confused, so ill-considered, so far from normal adjudication procedures, as to be a travesty as to be a travesty of natural justice.
In order to get one of these precious documents you must make allegations such as "the operator does not have the legal capacity to make these charges" They will ask you to prove it, when in all other instances they must prove that they do.
Show one of these to a judge and the PPC is done for. No independent appeal offered by the PPC.
This is worth a read
