you wont get a good 42" HD TV for £500, Stick to Sony,Sharp,Panasonic,Toshiba. lower you sites to a 32" a decent 42" HD is about £800+:A
Not true, I managed to get a Philips 42" Plasma with built in Freeview for £664 including delivery and a 5 year warranty from John Lewis, now sadly sold out, it does prove that they are available from time to time. OK, not at the £500 price point, but well below the £800 mark.
Stunning picture and sound quality.;)0 -

At face value, nothing, apart from an unkown brand and no Freeview built in, otherwise it looks OK for the money.;)0

I bought a 42" HD Freeview Hitachi plasma last week from Comet for £699. Have had t have an engineer out due to a squeak! He tells me its the power pack and having a exchange but he said this is the first tiem he had seen the telly and was surprised at the quality compared to the cost!0

It has a 5 year warranty from John Lewis, so I ain't even bothered, also it has 2 HDMI sockets, so yes it is HD, but I don't even have or want HD, but I can tell you one thing for certain, it has the best SD picture that I have ever seen on any 42" TV, including all of the hyped up Sony, Panasonics and Samsungs, that all seem to have problems.
So yes I am " shore " ( I think you mean sure ) it has HD.:rolleyes:0
