Virgin Media price increase, can I leave early?

Options
Well to be honest its not that I want to leave but they lied to me originally meaning they told me it was cheaper to get tv and broadband and phone than just broadband or broadband and phone, wasnt till a few months later I made a few landline calls to be charged £35 and also found out they had the wrong contact details and they ignored all messages.

So I want to get out of the contract in order to get the correct prices I should be paying and no tv(literally it has been turned on twice for about 30 minutes when Sky was down)

Is this possible?

Without proof that you were lied to I imagine you'll struggle.

How were you told it'll be cheaper? Letter, email or phone?

Depends, to be honest I am perfectly fine with regular fibre internet and all call etc which I can get for around the £30 mark rather than the £70 I am paying which includes tv I dont use.

And I was only told by the advisor it would be cheaper, when I did complain I was told just it wasnt included, and then said it was my own fault I could not login to my account as I didnt setup ebilling (which I couldnt do as they used the wrong email)

sounds like they were saying it would be cheaper to have broadband + phone + TV all through them that having broadband + phone with Virgin and TV with Sky....which was likely true (I would find it odd for someone to have Virgin TV plus Sky TV!)

Have you tried to get them to reduce your package down so it does not include the Tv package, just the broadband and phone? You can do a live chat, where you can usually get a transcript of your call to your email so you will have proof of any agreement.
http://contact.virginmedia.com/ and then click on account and billing which is on the left hand side and live chat should pop up.

As you say you can get the sky movies and entertainment much cheaper via now tv streaming which you can cancel at anytime as a lot of the now tv boxes come with two or 3 months free movies or entertainment channels and then if you cancel they offer you deals.

Except I told them I was fine with Freesat and had no plans to ever use cable tv, I even asked the guy multiple times was he sure its cheaper to get tv with broadband and phone and he said yes just like I asked multple times if the calls were anytime and he said yes.

I myself said to him multiple times I didnt want the tv part of it and it will be unused (except in an emergency such as if sky was down but even then I didnt really want to use it)

What TV pack is it exactly? If its M or M+ he's probably right.

You mean you didn't ask basic questions like "How much is Package A, how much is package B?" etc.?
