Solicitor query

Evening all, after my post yesterday re: homebuyers report and the fab advice I received I thought ooh I know I will post about this- My "solicitor"
Unfortunately the solicitor I usually deal with flipping left out of the blue this was unbeknown to me when I contacted her to act on my behalf for a purchase. Anyway I have now been allocated a colleague of hers and quite frankly she is nothing like my previous lady. I had my offer accepted on 25th June mortgage offer sorted, paperwork signed and returned to solicitor day after receiving forms etc. The vendors solicitor on the ball. I sent an email regarding the purchase (thinking I was emailing chosen solicitor) just reiterating a few things. The new solicitor emailed back the next day saying it was her taking over and that the previous solicitor had made some queries and that she was on to it,the contract had been drawn up and she was going over the details. So this was 10th July and I have had nothing since. I had to wait over 3 weeks for the survey and report so i didn't contact her (I thought I would let her get on with it) I sent to the report to the solicitor the day I received it. This was the 27th July with the report I added questions on her progress. I asked where we were at etc etc. She didn't reply. So I sent another email today asking the same questions where are we at??!! Both I and the vendor need a quick transaction due to us both relocating and various other commitments. I had a conversation with the vendors e.a today for a differnt reason and happened to ask her what the vendors solicitor had done, the contract was resent on the 17th July and has had no response!
Do you think this acceptable not having a reply I don't expect the inns and outs of a gnats !!!! if she is busy but is it not common courtesy after so long with no contact to say she is on the case and will send a further email with the details I require when she can? To not have anything? Thoughts please. Again another mammputh posting!

Just call her.
If she has inherited a full caseload it will take a bit of time to get to grips with all clients unfortunately.0
