Anyone Having Problems Logging In To Skype

I cant seem to be able to log into skype at all this morning

it goes to try to log in but it just wont log in.

After about 10 mins i get a message saying 'skype cannot connect'.

when i click to resolve the problem it just says skype may be blocked.

but it was working yesterday is there anyway to fix this.

I'm having the same problem. It will connect successfully and show the green icon with tick in the system tray, then 5 minutes later it loses the connection and shows the grey rotating arrows icon with 'Connecting', then 2 minutes later connect successfully again. I think it must be a problem with the Skype servers.

There's nothing you can do about it, it's a problem with Skype.

thanks for that i thought it must be a skype problem but wanted to double check as i had done everything possible to try and fix it.

i have exactly the same as you that i would log in but then the icon goes grey and starts spinning as if its connecting again.

hopefully wont be long before its back online again!!

Its a pain I have a support call I needed to make to a guy in Australia, I was on with him tll about 2am this morning and we called it a day night/morning what ever it was and I would call again this morning his night time but havnt been able.

Ahh! not looking good.

Must be quite serious due to the length of the downtime and resolution and also this on their website... "Downloads of Skype have been temporarily disabled. We will make downloads available again as quickly as possible."
