Advice on PCN for parking exceeds marked bay area

Hi all, great forum with lots of advice. Could someone help clarify for me as to correct approach to take. I received a PCN despite having valid ticket and reason on PCN is "Exceeds Marked bay Area". I scouted round vehicle and have photographs that car in inside bay on both sides and parked tight to back wall. I think issue was that front wheels are outside a notional front line by less than a foot (There were only partial remains of a front line). My car is a standard MPV and approx. 4.5m long.
Question is should I use the standard template letter and provide no further details or should I focus on the GPEOL as my parking outside the "front line" of the bay caused no loss and therefore is classed as a penalty charge. Should I dispute the markings on the bay. By arguing am I opening myself up to suggesting I was the driver?
I am inclined to keep my response generic and just use the standard appeal template without any amendments.
Any help really appreciated.

Yes, standard appeal from the NEWBIES thread. No need to embellish.
But first, I assume you got a notice on the windscreen (NtD). As long as the car is yours or belongs to someone known to you, you should wait for the Notice to Keeper through the post. Then appeal as the keeper, without admitting who the driver was.
BTW, which PPC is it?0 -
Thanks for the reply. So wait for Notice to Keeper to arrive - small problem in that I am away between day 18 and day 34. Should I just email appeal on day 20 irrespective of whether NTK may of arrived or do I need to make sure they have written to me first.
The PPC is Premier Parking Solutions0 -
the NTK should arrive between day 29 and day 56 , so I think I would wait for it and then use the template appeal, as there are 28 days to appeal it from the date of the NTK letter , as stated in post #20

Look at your photos and also those of the PPC.
The charge is parking outside a marked bay.
If the markings to the front are not clear, then you should point out that as there were no or faded markings, they failed the "Marked Bay" definition.
Further point out that you (sorry - "the driver" ) was parked inside the side markings and were not causing the landowner to lose business.
Are the bays not long enough for your vehicle? If they are, then what is your reason for not parking further in? If they are not, then as there are no signs prohibiting vehicles over x metres in length, just how is one longer than the bay supposed to park.0 -
Thanks everyone for advice. I emailed the template letter for first response and was very pleased to receive reply stating that my PCN had been cancelled.
Great result.0
