Faulty Shed - Poor workmanship - Refund advice needed

Options
Please help me clarify how best to proceed with my situation and what legislation is relevant to my problem.

Recently purchased a shed from a local business. Paid Deposit by debit card and the remaining balance on the day of delivery by cash

The workman ship/ build quality of the shed is very poor in my opinion. The paint which i provided them with has been applied in such a bad way it will take more effort than its worth to rectify.

There are plenty of other issues with the shed. One major one being that the windows have not been sealed and subsequently water has come pouring inside. Not only this but the walls of the shed are also leaking and wet, even the sides that are closest to the neighbors fence and better protected from the elements.

My question is am I covered by the sales of goods act, or the supply of goods and services?

After discussing the problems with the company that provided the shed i have come to the decision that i would rather have a refund. The company has offered to collect the shed on Friday, sand it back and rectify all of the problems we have found (most of which i have not listed here)

Am i within my rights to demand a full refund? do i have to let them try and rectify the problems? If i do accept their proposals and i am still unhappy with the product can i still demand a full refund?

So far the company has been very difficult with me and i would rather go elsewhere in-case something else goes wrong in the near future.

I hope that someone can help me promptly as time is of the essence.

Thank you very much.
