  • I've never fancied put oil on my eyelashes. I have sensitive eyes and wouldn't risk them getting irritated.

Let us know how you get on :)

I started using oil on my lashes a few months ago after noticing they'd got really short, so short it was hardly worth wearing mascara. I use a vitamin E oil I got from Superdrug, nothing fancy. I noticed a difference after a few weeks. They were noticeably longer. I got lazy and stopped using it and they're back to stubby again so I've just started using the oil each night again.

I seem to remember hearing/reading that Revitalash had changed it's formula and was now less effective. I've never tried it myself.

has anyone bought Revitalash in the last year or so? They had to change the active ingredient due to a lawsuit and some say its no longer so effective - would be interested to know.

The original active ingredient is bimatoprost its eye drops and you can just buy these quite cheaply. Theorectically only on a prescription
but you can get without eg

they also sell little brushes for use on eyelashes if you read to bottom of the entry
I haven't bought this product from the pharmacy above but I have bought sleeping pills on and off over the years (at least 10 years) and they are very reliable as a supplier and I have never had the slightest doubt I am getting the approved product.

  • I'm using my new one and it's fine.

I'd be careful buying those drops, I don't think they are safe. I'm sure I read about it somewhere. I'd rather pay for a product that's proven to be safe. As I said in an earlier post, I have sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses and I've never had a problem with Revitalash. My eyes are too precious to take any risks.

Of course we all want to look after our eyes. However,
Revitalash also contains a prostaglandin analog so you are essentially buying the same product as if you bought the basic pharmaceutical one.

That report is from 2013. Now I don't know if Revitalash has changed its formula since then. Would probably have to ask Revitalash about that. I can only speak from my experience and my mum's experience and neither of us have had any problems using this product.

At the end of the day, I'm only suggesting a product I've had success with. As others have said, they have had success using oils.
