You will love all 3 places as we did but Las Vegas is probably the best. To shop there is a factory outlet just past the airport going out of town which is fairly large. Not sure if you can get there on bus as we had hired a car for the holiday.

Cool, were you able to claim the tax back at the airport?

Do the state taxes differ much between the 3 locations??

I take it you mean Belz?

Just my opinion , well Mr and Miss Sheel's too , but I don't reckon much on Belz in Vegas. I prefer the fairly new Premium Outlets and of course there's plenty of shopping to be done at the big hotels on the strip , such as the Forum at Caesars Palace , Desert Passage at the Aladdin and the Grande Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. Then there's the Fashion Show mall on the strip and the Boulevard mall offstrip , but I didn't think much of the latter. You're spoilt for choice really

Yes you can get a bus to Belz . You get the 301 CAT bus on the strip and then get off near the airport where you have to change to the 303 to get to Belz
Same old same old since 2008

The premium outlets near the airport are good but there is better. About 45 mins drive south of Vegas is a place called Primm. It's huge and has all the designers names you'll ever want and the prices are great!

heres a webpage with list of shops in Primm

oh and to get there getting something nice from here

oh and the outlet near the airport is about $15 each way by taxi

Dave, recently came back from this 3 centre holiday myself and had an amazing time which I sure you will. :j

As said above; some best value shopping in LV is in the outlet centers however I didn't both with them on this trip as I wanted to see the sights and shop all in one go. The Fashion Show has most of the major stores and easy to get to as its within walking distance of the hotels, whereas the Outlets stores are a bus or taxi away.

The Casino's have some of the most amazing shopping mails and the Venetian, The Forum and Via Bellagio are the best for overpriced designer gear but they just have to be seen.

In Honolulu the place to shop is the Ala Moana Center (https://www.alamoana.com). Upstairs has many designer shops whilst downstairs is very native and a great place to shop and eat with the locals. It's just a short bus trip from Honolulu and a great place to spend a few hours. ABC shops are everywhere in Honolulu and are like our Spar shops.

Now San Fran - GO TO MACY'S!!! 11 floors of shopping and (one for the ladies - a whole floor of shoes!) Best of all the men's store is seperate. Macy's is everywhere in the USA and offers the Tourist an 11% discount off their already low prices (inc sales prices). I got a $200 Boss jumper for $30 ;)

San Fran doesn't have any large outlet mails within easy reach unless you have a car and are prepared to drive for an hour.

California State Tax is 6% plus 2.5% City Tax
Nevada State Tax 6.5% plus 1% City Tax
Hawaii State Tax is 4% - yes 4%!!!

Make sure you go Whale watching in Honolulu and visit Pearl Harbour, in San Fran a visit to Sausalito and Muir Woods is a must, plus a ferry around the bay.

If you need any other info on this holiday just drop me a line.

San Fran has a couple of really cheap outlet stores in town can't remember what they are called but they are similar to TK maxx
