Timpson's are cobblers!

I recently treated myself to an expensive pair of shoes and decided to get them re-soled before wearing. Timpson's charged me £20. I wore the shoes for one afternoon and one morning before both soles started peeling away at the leading edge of the toe. I took them back and waited and watched whilst the Timpson's man applied glue from a small bottle between the existing sole and the new sole. Whilst the repair appeared OK, he had spilt glue on the toe cap. I pointed this out to which he used an abrasive pad to remove it. Once finished, the toe cap had an abrasion about the size of a fifty pence piece ruining the otherwise highly polished surface. He was unable to remedy the mistake. After much dispute he ungratiously agreed to pay me the cost of the shoes and the repair.

You might think this all well and good. However, I had bought these shoes in the sale at Jones. They no longer have my size in the sale. After two trips to the shoe shop and two trips to Timpson's and no shoes I feel short-changed.
