Renting a room out is a possible option though not sure how my sisters would feel about this...
I think I will appeal this, this is not a strong point of mine as due to my anxiety I do not like confrontation but hopefully the CAB can help though im not sure what they can do?
How much rent do your sisters pay you?Tomorrow is the most important thing in life0 -
To be fare and this sounds very harsh but if you own a quarter share of a 400k plus house then no benefits should be paid until you have used this, Getting the money is another story but none the less the benefit system is there to help people who actually need it on paper and having around £100.000 plus albeit in a property is still money held.0

Possibly , though probably now I talk to them about the possibility of selling.
My sisters don't pay me any rent, in fact we fell out a bit as they felt I should still be paying them money towards the bills there as when i left they suddenly had to split the bills 3 way instead of 4.
This makes it even harder for me to try and talk them into selling0 -

I should indeed have added that.
It is not by any means certain that the value of the share would drop from 90K to 16K or below.
However - it is a matter that can be appealed, and the chances that at reconsideration or a later tribunal it will be decided that it is is not zero.
This would be far easier if the house value was - say - 180K.
The other way ESA could come back into payment is if you were to move back in.
However, in this circumstance you may still be affected by your partners earnings.0 -
Have you spoken to your sisters about this?
The best option is to sell the house and split it 4 ways. You would be allowed a period of 28(?) weeks whilst it was on the market (maybe more) - called a disregard of capital - if you went this route.
If you explained to your sisters the difficulties this is putting you in then they may agree to this. if they wished to live together then they would have about £300K to buy another property.0 -

It would also be possible to within this 28 weeks - purchase a suitable property to live in - and hence reduce your reliance on housing benefit going forward.0 -
Have spoken to my sisters about it and get very mixed responses, the youngest who is 24 doesn't feel she's ready to move out yet. Their arguement to me regarding money would be along the lines of 'go out and get a job like we do; despite the fact this isn't easy for me. Also with my partner only on basic MAT pay from workand she has now lost her housing benefit, I really don't know what to do. But yes I need to talk to them again, it's not the easiest situation as they were already annoyed at me for stopping financial contribution to the house etc
I am applying for jobs all over the place but because of such a large gap on my CV am hearing nothing other than zero hour contracts.0 -

Could your GF return to work early and you look after the child?Tomorrow is the most important thing in life0 -
I have strong social anxiety so struggle with day to day,., getting out, meeting people etc, its a shame there isn't a job i could do from home.
So whilst its a struggle I am trying to push myself to work, and yes another option is my partner is looking to go back, and maybe take a better job as shes far more qualified than me.
I had intended to ease back into work by working the permitted 16 hours, whilst on ESA. I have been offered zero hour contract jobs, but this could be difficult with planning childcare etc as i wouldnt know if im working one day to the next.0 -
