Bought one of the above in 2011 and it has stopped working.
In a nutshell, you plug HDMI cable from SKY box into Slot #1 and plug the Output slot into the back of the TV. All worked great, Bluray in slot #2 etc etc.
Blue lights still light up so I have no reason to doubt the cables or the gadget.
Ideas appreciated. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0020426AG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

Sky boxes, especially hd, are notorius for this type of switching problem, the power from the skybox is marginal, so your best bet is to get the correct power supply for your switcher and try that.
Google for sky box hdmi switcher problems, and you will see.0 -
you may need a switcher with a power supply DC 5 volts(not self powering by HDMI)

Thanks guys.
It has worked for 2-3 years so the thing that gets me is what has changed?0 -
as 'aerostar' says the SKY box HD power output is marginal0

Maybe life of the switch ?
Manufactured in China then I would believe 2 years out of it is pretty good.
Don't think it's the power issue, as it has worked 2 years without any problem.
I think it has come to end.0
