Settlement Figures on Cards?????

Options
I have just received some family money and am looking to pay off all my cards. The problem i have is that i am a few thousand short but want them all paid off. Is there anyway CC companies will accept a lower settlement figure without going through defaults etc?

    No.

Unless you default on the debt and it is passed to a debt collection agency (by which time your credit history will be marked by it) and they agree to take less than the full balance.
