Ford mondeo none starter

My friends ford mondeo is a none starter. It worked fine yesterday.
When turn key, all ignition lights come on, bit when turn against spring tension to start, absolutly nothing.
When switch ignition off a two tone alarm sounds.
Any ideas?
Thought battery at first but same results when hooked up to jump pack.

Battery flat. dont keep trying it. Risk of the immobiliser needing a trip to a main dealers to use the wallet pulling tool.

Charge the battery up and then watch the LED in the clock when you switch the ignition on before you attempt to start it.

Do the dials do a sweep test when switching on or cranking?
