Used comparison websites for searching the best deals for building/contents insurance got some good quotes for around £120. How do you know how good a company is?
I've got quotes from Legal&General, Direct Line etc both also give cashback via Topcashback. I suppose the main thing is that we have some kind of cover.

That depends really on if you are buying insurance just to cover your mortgage requirement to have cover or if you have a genuine desire to have cover should an incident happen.

The links posted previous are good, its worth double checking the name of the products though as L&G do a very basic product as well as a reasonable one. All home insurance has notable limitations until you get into the HNW policies and so you ideally should be comfortable knowing that matching sets wont be covered or such.

The insurance is for the mortgage requirement I went with Aviva for building&contents £116. Also will get £63 cashback as went with Via Topcashback.
