Pre bankruptcy CCJ still showing as active on credit reports

Hi,
I'm trying to clean up my credit file after my bankruptcy discharge in Sep 2013. I got the 3 CRAs to update the status of the bankruptcy to show that it was discharged along with the date (it was also showing as still active until I had it corrected) - just had to send them a copy of the discharge letter obtained from my OR.
A CCJ which I got before the bankruptcy and which was included in the bankruptcy is still showing as active with a value against it. The CRAs won't update this, even though the bankruptcy supersedes it.
I know the CCJ will remain on my file - I'm just looking to have it settled.
Q1: How do I get the CCJ marked settled/inactive? Do I need to go back to my OR or to the issuing court?
Q2: Am I correct in thinking that if the CCJ still shows as active then that has more of a negative effect on my file than if it showed as Settled?
Thanks again.

Q1. Unless the courts agree to mark it as such, you can't. Has to be done through them, and their rules say that they can't unless the CCK was actually paid.
Q2. Which the bankruotcy order on there for longer than the CCJ, the status of the CCJ is pretty much an irrelevance.
Concentrate on building a few positives on your file for when the CCJ and BR are eventually gone.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Cheers Fermi,
I've spent the last 4 months getting all the old accounts updated correctly by the various lenders - so they at least now show as closed/settled just leaving the good post BR accounts along with the BR and CCJ.
Sep 2018 here I come :beer:0
