Balances not being updated

What is the usual time interval for banks to post your updated credit card balances? I have a card that had 12k on it in January. I've gradually brought it down to £3k, but it still shows 12k on my credit file.

Should be every month and be a month behind showing statement balance from the previous month. You've not by any chance changed addresses and not updated it. I forgot that with one of mine and wondered why it wasn't updating for months. As soon as I updated the address the balance was updated the following month.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Your credit report with Experian is updated by your lenders on a monthly basis, as you've mentioned your credit card balance hasn't been updated if your credit report is with Experian let us know as we can help and query the information directly with your lender.

If your credit report isn't with Experian you may wish to contact your credit reference agency (CRA) directly, you can find their details below:

    Callcredit PLC:
    Consumer Services Team,
    PO Box 491,
    Leeds,
    LS3 1WZ

    Equifax Ltd:
    Customer Service Centre
    PO Box 10036
    Leicester
    LE3 4FS

    I hope this helps
