Ncp parking fine appeal

Hi ,
I parked on ncp car park and had no change so used my mobile and my rings.
I receive a text of confirmation so thought everything ok but did comment on how they knew my number.(camera somewhere).
Came back in good time to find that I had a ticket.
On reading says I was parked without a ticket.
When phoned i was told I had paid for a car park in a different zone all of 150 miles away.
I remember using this park about a year ago with the same car .
I can only assumed I had mis heard the instructions and pressed the wrong number.
It did say the zone but it did not occur that it was different to the park I was on.
I have appealed but reading the blogs on ncp will be rejected,
What is best course for me if they reject my appeal.
Thanks

Thanks Ralph-y I have read the posts but still confused with my options.
it's too late i have allready appealed on line wed 22 July giving my name and address but had no reply yet.
I cannot confirm that it was sent /received .i only the appeal number given at the time but it's same as pcn number issued .though not visible on line now
Do I contact them to see if it's been received and consider putting it in writing??
Or ....as it's most likely to be rejected just ignore any further correspondence.
Grateful for any advice0 -
you wait and see what happens
if you get anything in writing, its either a cancellation or a popla code
if its a popla code you would appeal it , as it tells you in the newbies sticky thread
the fact you appealed it means they have to cancel or allow you to appeal to popla which should be within 35 days , so why would you ignore anything in writing ? doesnt make sense if you have read that NEWBIES sticky thread
IGNORE is used for debt collectors , but due to POFA 2012 you have to keep on top of these matters now, assuming you dont want to be in court if it went that far.
if it did go that far in the next 6 years, you would want to convince a judge that you tried to deal with it properly and to have tried to avoid court , so ignoring it undermines your defence arguments
the fact is, you appealed it, so nothing you can do at this stage, stop worrying, deal with the next bridge when you come to it
the fact you dont see it on their system is hopeful that they already cancelled it, therefore you are worrying needlessly
ps:- you called this a fine ? its not a fine , its an invoice, wont say the word "fine" anywhere on any paperwork , so call a spade a spade, not a pitchfork0
