Painting Silicone Sealant

Anyone successfully painted over silicone sealant?
I'm looking to get an emulsion finish on it. Thinking that hairspray, carpet adhesive spray or some other miracle cure might seal it enough to allow it to be painted

One course of action is to remove the silicone and replace with acrylic, or decorators caulk. If you say that silicone is necessary in order to water seal a joint then the emulsion should not be used there.
I do not know of a miracle sealing coat.0 -
You will struggle to get any paint to adhere to silicon mastic. Thats the whole idea of it!Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

I used Easy Surface Preparation (ESP) to paint kitchen cupboard doors with emulsion. It's a liquid which you wipe on with a cloth. Worked very well, can't remember where I got it from though.0 -
