Hi there
I am applying to be a NHS 999 Call Handler and I have just passed the assessment stage. I have got the interview coming up and I wanted to see if anyone had any advice regarding any questions I might receive? I am thinking of as many examples as possible using the job profile but any extra advice would be great.
Thank you
Mike

Considering that such a job regards strict confidentiality integrity, do you think you are suited for the job, by posting what you have above?0

I don't think call handlers have to keep their job a secret.0 -

NHS call handling demands alot of integraty and confidentiality, where is the relationship with those qualities, and the other person asking for interviewing tips in securing an employment position within the NHS???? cant see it, she just wants to prepare herself as fully as possible, and wants to ask others of the type of questions areas asked. Has absolutely noithing to do with confidentiality, or integrity, so please explain???Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
I am asking for advice on interview questions not to disclose any information about any calls or anything.
And yes I like to think I am suited, I am 26 years old and have worked very hard in Sales and have also done various volunteering roles in Uganda, Kenya and Bolivia and I now want to have a paid job where I feel like I am doing something that matters.
Mikey463, firslty, welcome to moneysavingexpert. we can see you are new to this site, and you are really welcome here.
secondly, it is clear as day you are requesting interview tips, so dont worry, and why not, if someone has gone through the same experience, why should they not share this with you?
From what you have typed, you sould like you have had alot of experience from a varity of people. If no one comes up trumps here, i know you will shine at your interview. you sound like a ideal candidate, fingers cross for you!!Trinidad - I have a number of needs. No direct experience of this work but I have been involved in a lot of interviews.
In your situation, I would be ready with some examples of where you have managed to calm distressed people or have dealt with stressful situations or have managed to keep your head when others were panicking.
You will also need to show that you can very patient - you will get regular callers who call 999 when there isn't an emergency.0 -

Hi
Thanks I do appreciate that a lot0 -
This is not a request for what type of question will be asked in an interview, but what type of question will be asked at an interview for a very specific job. The OP, in my view, should not have mentioned the precise job title.0
