Goodbye Excel! Go take a jump Rossendales.

Options
Back in 2009, Excel wrote to me inviting me to pay them an extortionate "fine" for parking after 2 hours in a free car park in a shopping car park. Our party had actually been shopping in the complex for that time, buying stuff, and at the time of leaving the place was, of course, nearly empty.

I can remember the shock and indignation of receiving that demand for payment. And my partner was for "avoiding trouble" and paying. Both well-educated and aware and both nearly cowed into submission.

Nearly .... always the one not to be pushed around I wrote to them, telling them not only that we were shopping, but that their signs were unreadable, the "fine" extortionate and the car park empty in any case, and that in any case I wasn't the driver. I got what will be to regulars here the usual reply, full of what I know now to be bluster and empty threats.

AND THEN I DISCOVERED THIS FORUM.

Taking what at that time was the correct advice, i then ignored them. Hysterical letters, full of nonsense about CCJs arrived. Even at that time I knew how the court system worked, and their lies and mis-information made me certain they were actually weak.
The letters became scarier: red ink and CAPITAL LETTERS were deployed.

I ignored and filed away, having no hamster.

I BEGAN TO CONTRIBUTE IN A LOW KEY WAY TO THIS FORUM

More letters arrived over the 5 years to 2014, ending in an empty and vague threat from Rossendales (not mentioning the date at all! - another weak ploy). Again, ignore them.

And now, it's past six years, and my understanding is that they are now

OUT OF TIME :D

Whatever the merits of their "case" might be.

So, thank you forum, get lost Excel, go bury yourselves under a rock Rossendales.

And if you are new to this note that the way to deal with this (Unless you come from fair bonny Scotland- where you can still ignore them), is now NOT to ignore but to appeal and engage and beat them on their lies and lack of standing, etc.

And again THANK YOU FORUM FOR INFORMATION AND SUPPORT

Some PPCs ( G24 I'm looking at you ! ), don't understand the six year rule and STILL chase people but it's fun knowing you've beaten them and they are wasting yet more of their money.
