I was wondering has purchased a bPay product at all?

Is it useful or just a gimmick? I'm liking the idea of the key fob.

I guess it's an alternative to people who can't get access to apple pay.

I trialled the original version so got the band free. I'm not sure I would have paid for it though when I have ten contactless cards.

It does work well, although I think I will probably only use it when I forget my wallet. Main downside is the fact you need to top up or allow them to automatically charge your linked card. if you lose it there is nothing to stop someone going on a spending spree until you cancel it (there is no pin security system as with other contactless cards)

The app is very buggy, and I have yet to be able to log into the account on the website so will not add any more money until it seems to work properly.

    I don't.
And how is it better than a contactless card or a paytag that you can stick to pretty much anything?

I did have thoughts about that however from a personal level I don't think id load it that much money for that reason. Plus the contactless amount increases to £30.00 from 1st September.

I think its a good idea for thoughts who can not currently get access to contactless cards such as basic bank account customer etc.

Not all people have device that has access to apply pay and not all people have access to contactless card either. So I would think it would be a good alternative.

It does look interesting until you get to the security issue. I definitely wouldn't have my card automatically linked as it sounds it's like carrying a pile of cash that you could lose easily.

Or Android? Apple aren't the only contactless pay.

Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Android pay, bpay, micky n minnie pay etc. Getting a bit crowded now.

Correct me if I'm wrong: I buy say a bpay wristband for 20 quid or a key bob or sticker for a bit less and then link it to my debit card or credit card and then whammo I can use it at contactless terminals. But why would I want to use bpay with a card which is already contactless? It seems to me that all I'm installing is an unnecessary middle man. Might be useful to link my Aqua card which incredible as it may seem is not contactless but easier and cheaper to just dump it. I wonder if Aqua will pay me a bribe to stay?

bpay is actually close to what I've been wanting for a long time, a smaller, more compact, less space consuming in my wallet card but really bpay is as unnecessary as it gets. Good gimmick though.

I like the idea of the fob, however until more firms accept contactless it's not right for me - to say nothing of the 2 or so accumulated hours each week searching for my keys - which 8/10 times have been in my pocket or hand all the time!
