Can you help, cheapest way to get to usa

I would like to take my family to portland oregon (pdx) for christmas to see some of our family we haven't seen for 6 years.
But as we already have our yearly hols booked we need to find out how cheaply we can get it. I have looked at zoom fly which was mentioned on another thread but can't seem to find the cheapest flights??
We don't mind connections or traveling here there and everywhere if it meens it being cheaper.
So anyone fancy a challenge
2 adults and 4 children (11,8,5,2) leaving second half of december sometime and coming back around the 3-4 jan 08.

cheapest i found was 2566.50

Check out exactly when the flight season changes for Christmas (goes from low season to high). It's generally around the 13th December and if you can travel then the price will be considerably cheaper.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
