Creditor in DRO asking for letter from Insolvency Practioner??

Hi all,

I was subject to a DRO which was discharged and completed in Januraury of this year.

Following this I used a template letter provided and wrote to all the creditors asking them to mark the account as settled and follow the correct procedure. Most of the creditors included did this with no issues, but several have continued to ignore my written requests.

One creditor in particular, Piggy Bank Loans, continues to write to me asking me to get in touch and enter a repayment plan. I contacted them and yet again went through the process of telling them all about the DRO, and re-sent each letter, recorded post, to ensure they recieved.

I've since got a reply back stating that they have looked into this but cannot assist me further and update my file until they recieve a letter from my insolvency practioner?

Is this correct? What would the process be for getting this in place? I also pressume I should get a copy sent to each of the creditors if this is the case.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Thanks in advance,

What proof of the DRO did you include?

An Insolvency Practitioner has no involvement with a DRO, so if they really put that then they are being extremely dumb.

  • Did you get a discharge certificate, or any other paperwork to confirm, if so scan it and send a copy as proof to them.

    Not with a DRO

But if you go online to the insolvency register between the 12 and 15 month point you can print off your entry showing it completed.

Didn't you get a letter from the insolvency service when you had your Dro approved? X
