Wow I actually thought this forum might be full of helpful decent people!? Wasn't expecting the condescending responses that I received!!
I read the posts and thought they were useful and offered a balanced view.

Ah yeah, didn't notice the shiplap bit. Still marine grading is real and so is shiplap. Maybe he got confused or used a mix of wood? He may have lied.
