Hi all after some advice, I am doing a course (Degree in information Technology) I have to do 2 years at college. That will cost me about £1000 year Then I go to uni to do the rest of it. I have been told I can get a loan to pay for all my fees. So where is the best place to go? any more advice would be nice thanks...

If it is a standard application then the loans being referred to are the standard Student Loans which are arranged by the STudent Loans Company.

I am not sure whether yours will be a standard application as you are already doing a 'degree' (but it's two years at college?). Are you currently getting anything from the SLC for that?
edit: The part of the SLC website UK students need is:

How long is the uni bit of the course?
If this is single three/four year Higher Education course but with the first years taking place at an affiliated college of the university then you may be able to recieve full student support (loans/bursaries/grants) whilst at college. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -
Well the college is mid-Kent and that last for 2 year. Then the uni is Kent uni and that last for 3-4 years if I do year in industry.
This is the link to college this also on the uni site course code (G405:M)

This the link to uni what the course leads onto

I always thought that Foundations Degrees are eligible for full student support as the count as Higher Education. The foundation courses on the websites of other colleges also suggest this. I'm confused as this conflicts with the bit at the bottom of the Mid Kent College website that talks about a £30 EMA/Learning Grant which is normally only for Further Education courses.
It is best to ask the college or student lfinances directly.
That uni course later on is certainly eligible for the student loans/grants/bursaries but I am not sure how your entitlement will be affected if you recieve this funding for your Foundation Degree aswell. Best to ask them directly. They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0 -

I had alook at the page earlier but was unsure whether it applies to you as there is no reference to 'foundation degree' although I have a feeling that you should get HE support as the course charges a tuition fee and is full time.
If you are starting this year and have not yet applied, then I would act NOW - the deadlines to recieve payments at the start of term have already passed!
You can use this calculator to estimate what support you may be enetitled to recieve from the SLC for your course in your circumstances:

Just been reading through the post and a couple of points have come to mind.- I am confused why you are doing a 2 year foundation degree followed by a 3-4 year bachelors degree. The idea is to do a foundation degree then top-up to a bachelors by doing an extra year. You will not get funding for the full 3-4 years of bachelors if have already done a foundation degree.
- Foundation degrees are a prescribed course for SLC funding, you are eligible for tuition fee loan, maintenance grant/loan according to household income and any other grants due to your circumstances.
- If you do the FnDg followed by the top-up year, you will remain entitled to funding for all 3 years.
