Success! Natwest refunded fees and interest!

Just found out that Natwest have refunded me for fees associated with an account they had me open in 2010. I had fees and interest for 5 years paid back. They did in fact state that I had to open the expensive fee paying account in order to have an overdraft which at the time seemed a more sensible option than a credit card (and was cheaper - I thought - than the credit card option). It was a genuine claim as whilst I wanted the overdraft I didn't need the account. I had a basic account which was free but was told that I had to get the fee paying one for the account.

I followed the guide provided here, received an answer from Natwest that they were looking into it and then, hey presto, repayment in my account today.

Thrilled to bits with my success - £972.91 paid back in total!

Martin - you are a lovely lovely man, thank you so much for championing the consumer!

Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!
