Very credit account and credit rating

Hi this is my first post so I would appreciate some help! My husband and I did a credit report check yesterday as we are hoping to move to be near my sick mother. The report came back with some missed payments from Very.
Our account is up to date, these missed payments were for a delivery charge of 4.95 that we were not aware of or aware we were late paying for.
We have spoken to them three times today, paid the amount due and asked it they could remove the late payments from our credit report. At first they said this was impossible and we were to contact Experian and add a notice of correction. Experian confirmed they can do this and our mortgage broker said te lenders do not pay attention to the notes so won't help our situation. We contacted Very again and they were again very unhelpful, and said they would not do this.
We are happy to pay the balance on our account, we would at this point be happy to do pretty much anything to have this removed from our account as this messes up out chances of moving totally.
Does anyone have any advice on the matter?
Kind regards

yup have to say they dont hide itDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I think the problem with Very is that people don't look at their bills. They buy something on 12 months 0% and then ignore the post that arrives thinking as there's nothing to pay it'll just be for info. From memory it does tell you when your order when the delivery charge is payable.0
