I thought picking a new sink for my kitchen would be one of the easier bits to do.
Going for a Blanco Andano but cant decide on the size to get.
The base unit below is 900 so initially I though 500 u so it sat nicely centred. When I've measured this out it looks huge.
A kitchen shop I visited suggested the 450 as he thought a 500 was too big but when he called through for a price he asked why does the 450 not have the tap pack option and was told the 450 was not a popular size and rarely bought.
So if I drop down to the 400 will this be too small and look wrong in a 900 unit in a 4 metre run?
I just can't decide, help!

We have done everything from 450, 500, 600 (1.5 bowl), 700 and 900 twin bowl options and they all look fine. Your decisions should be driven by your requirements rather than aesthetics.
You will be working at this sink long after you have finished admiring it and with undermount sinks you get only once change to decide. We’ve had to remove your signature. Completely agree with Ryder72.
It's irrelevant whether you or anyone else thinks a particular size of sink looks good in a 900 base unit or not. Normally you decide which size or sizes of sink you want first, then this determines what base unit size you need.
To be honest most go for a bowl and a half sink that fits into a 600mm sink base unit or a 500mm single bowl in a 600mm sink base. A 600mm sink base is always a good size as it matches a 600mm fully integrated dishwasher next to it. Really your kitchen designer should give you the best advice on all this.
And by the way, the Blanco Andano range are great sinks, sylish and good value.
