DM markers on mortgage that's not part of DMP.

Hi, after over 4 years on a DMP the end now in sight, so I finally braved looking at my credit file (noodle). A couple of months ago we paid off (through the DMP), a personal loan with Natwest. We had received no communication confirming this, so, on the advice of step change we called them to request confirmation that the account had been paid and closed and whilst on the phone we asked the balance of our overdraft which is also part of the DMP, as it turned out we only have one payment left to make.
Today I have received a very confusing letter from Natwest telling me that they are pleased to have come to a temporary agreement with me with regards to my mortgage. I never agreed to any agreement and best of all the payments are exactly the same as normal. When I called them he said something about not having much communication with me as step change has run the DMP and having to do this before my mortgage goes back to the mortgage dept (we were told that it gets automatically moved over to debt management when a DMP is taken out). We have NEVER missed a payment, been late or made any reduced payments. Can I do anything about this?
