P4 Parking in Edinburgh, Scotland

Hi guys,
Just seeking some clarification here, I received a PCN from a private firm known as P4 parking when parked close to where I lived with the company car, this was a windscreen sticker, informing me that I had to pay £100 !
This is because I parked within a private car park for literally around 10 minutes which is joined onto to our street (which of course is universally free parking for all).
Should I simply write out to P4 parking with a stern letter telling them that I was the named driver of the company car and that I will NOT pay the fine ?
I've spoken to an ex policeman who said in Scotland there is no legal protocol up here for these private companies ot take drivers to court.
Any advice is much appreciated,
Cheers,
Stew

Do not contact them at all.
To form a contract in Scotland - they need to know the name of the driver. Do not tell them!!
It is best not to contact them at all - and make sure your company doesn't either.
You will get all sorts of crap form them. IGNORE.0 -
Scotland = ignore. Just make sure the company also knows this.Je suis Charlie.0

they could do if they know who the driver is, that ex-copper should have said KEEPERS, not drivers
no protocols to take KEEPERS to court, but if they know the drivers details then they can try a court case, as some have tried already0 -
Is the company car a lease car, such as from ALD, Arval, Alphabet etc.?
If yes then they're equally likely to just pay the PCN when the NtK is issued, and then try to charge you the PCN value plus an admin charge.0
