Challenging a DRO

Hi Emma
There aren't set timescales for investigating objections that I am aware of - the priority is that the objection be investigated properly and either upheld or dismissed.
In practice, it is incredibly rare for creditors to raise objections, as their grounds for doing so overlap with the duties of the intermediary handling the application. In other words, if the intermediary has not spotted any problems with the application, it should sail through without any problems.

If the creditor produces a valid challenge (like an extra debt, not included, that takes the total debt over 15k) then that information is sent to the debtor and intermediary who are given the opportunity to respond.
It can happen at any time but obviously is more likely to happen in the first few weeks.0
