Sat nav reviews wanted

Hi,
I'm doing some research on free sat nav apps at the moment and wanted to know whether anyone had any experiences with HERE Nokia that they could share. If not, are there any other sat nav apps you would recommend? I'm looking for apps that can function offline to save data.
Thanks!

The great thing about HERE is that you can pre-download maps of the area you are in so that you do not need to use any data. It's especially helpful when you want to use sat nav abroad. I'm looking specifically at these 'offline' sat nav apps.0

My brother has been happy enough with his Nokia SatNav all which I think I'd Here on a Windows phone. Got him around Germany as well as the UK.
I've been pleased with Waze (Google) on my Android, better than the inbuilt one in my Merc which has some faulty routings.0 -

In which case, I can't help. Unlimited data and use abroad means Google Maps does everything I'll ever need. That and some *actual* maps.
You're right- I've updated the original question to make that a little more clear. Thanks!0 -
I've used it Here Maps a couple of times, seems to be pretty smart with regards to traffic etc but the routing isn't as hot as the built in sat nav in my car so I stick with that most of the time. Definitely a very good backup though.0

You'll probably find that HERE is the best. I use Waze but it does use data. Google Maps can save areas of maps locally which I've found useful, but I think it still needs data to do any routing.0

they do a free version or a premium version, the free one you can pay for extras, like voice navigation, extra maps, traffic alerts etc
the routing is pretty good, if you take a wrong turning the rerouting is quick.0 -
here works better on windows phone then android . It seems to not only track the phone but in this mode the speed limits warning works on windows where it did not an android . The phones i used where a lumia 535 and a moto g 1st gen .0

I luv the psp Sat nav, even though it is very retro but sygic is alright, but u need options if u do not want to go on the motorway! When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
Please note that at no point during this work was the kettle ever put out of commission and no chavs were harmed during the making of this post.0
