Wilkinsons seeds some 75% off

I was in wilkinsons on tuesday and they had some of own seeds 75% off.

Another brand 50% off.

And a lot of own brand was still full price but 3 for 2.

I managed to get seeds in wilko with 75% off.

Yes, I did too. The signage wasn't very clear - lots of big bold signs saying 75% off seeds, with a small print sign underneath saying that the 3-for-2 offer no longer applies. Fair enough I thought, it'd probably be a bit cheeky to expect a double deal like that. I took an armful of packets (all Wilko own-brand) of seeds to the till where I discovered that only a very few of them went through at 75% off.

I gently pointed out that there was nothing to indicate which seed packets were 75% off, and made my very best 'sad, disappointed customer' face, and after the charming lady on the till checked with her slightly grumpy manager who checked and double checked the signage, it was decided that the mistake was theirs and they put the whole lot through manually as mispriced goods, taking 75% off everything for me. The till then decided to treat the whole lot as 3-for-2 anyway, by which time there was a lengthy queue behind me and the manager had given up the will to live, and the charming lady on the till was laughing like a drain. They couldn't be bothered to try and sort it all out (pointing out that they'd shortly be selling any remaining seed packets at 'silly money' anyway) so I got a huge bargain - thank you Wilko. All my flower seeds and a vast number of my veg seeds for next year at an average of 15p a pack, hurrah!
